Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
The gospel was never meant to be kept by a few believers or in any one location. The gospel has always been truth to be declared by God's people. Jesus willingly laid down his life and succumbed to death, was buried in a tomb, but rose victorious from the grave by his own power on the third day - this is the gospel (I Cor. 15:1-4)! After his resurrection, Jesus gave a mission to his disciples to spread that gospel from Jerusalem (where they were currently residing) to Judaea, to Samaria and then to the whole world. Jesus' disciples prioritized their entire lives around this mission. They selflessly and obediently went and did what Jesus told them to do. They opened their mouths regularly to share this gospel, they regularly went out of their way to get to people who needed to hear and they even laid down all their own plans, dreams and pursuits to make sure the gospel reached their world in their day.
Ever since, this same mission has been passed from believer to believer - all the way to YOU! Now, it is YOUR mission to take the gospel to YOUR Jerusalem (where YOU currently reside), to YOUR region, to YOUR country and also to the world. This requires YOU to rearrange YOUR life to fit this mission that Jesus has given to YOU. The mission will not get accomplished through YOUR life if YOU live selfishly and disobediently. YOU must be willing to regularly open YOUR mouth, regularly forsake YOUR comfort and lay down YOUR plans, YOUR dreams and YOUR pursuits to make sure the gospel reaches YOUR world!
